Mission

The Assessors' Office is responsible for uniformly and accurately valuing all property both real and personal located within the Town. The valuation date is January 1.

The values generated by the Assessors are reviewed and certified triennially by the Department of Revenue.

Motor Vehicle Excise Abatement Application (State Tax Form 128)

Applications for abatement must be received by the Assessors by December 31 of the year following the year of the tax. If the bill is mailed after December 1st of the year following the tax year, application must be made on or before the 30th day from the date of issue or the date of mailing, whichever is later.
