The Goshen Conservation Commission has responsibility for administering the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (G.L. Ch 131, § 40).
The Commission processes applications for permits to do work in and near wetlands, floodplains, banks, riverfront areas, beaches and surface waters.
If any work is planned within a wetland or floodplain or within the buffer zones to these resource areas, even if that wetland is not owned by the applicant, Conservation Commission should be contacted to deter

The Town of Goshen is seeking a canditate to fill the Assistant Town Clerk position. The position requires basic computer skills and experience working with the general public. The Assistant Town Clerk will also be required to fill in for the Town Clerk in her absence. Just a reminder to all towntaxpayers: Your 1st quarterly property tax bills are due August 1, 2011. If you have questions, please contact the Tax Collector Susan Warriner 413-268-8236. The mailing address for the collector is: PO Box 423 Goshen, MA 01032 Office hours for the collector are held on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Goshen Town Offices. Due to the legal holiday on the last Monday of the month of May, the meeting of the Library Trustees will be held on May 23 at 6:30 pm.
